Recent events have shown how vulnerable data stored on the internet is. Some of the largest sites on the internet have been potentially attacked in recent days, and Amazon is the latest victim. The online shopping website, Amazon.com, was offline for over 15-minutes on Monday. The news comes after a week of outages effecting major websites. Last week, on Wednesday, the New York Times website was down for over 2 hours. Microsoft has experienced over 3 days of outage with their Outlook.com services. On Friday, Google was offline for 15 minutes, the only outage the site has had since 2009.
